After a long delay of COVID restrictions a small group of the He Ture Kia Tika rōpū had the privilege of travelling to Kaitaia to finally meet in person an amazing wahine. Haley took part in our research virtually and provided on-going input throughout the collaborative story writing and production processes.  The gifting of her taonga that traces her transformational journey was extra cause for celebration in reaching a milestone of being four years clean.

Thank you for having us!

We also want to extend our thanks the rest of the team at Rongopai House, namely Dino, Lucy and Roberta who warmly invited us to share our rangahau (research) with some whānau attending the Feed my Lambs group. We were impressed that some of the real transformations were being modelled by the māmā’s who were not only raising their pepi and tamariki in love but were also pursuing higher education, to help other whānau.
