Kia ora e te whānau,

It has been a few months since we last posted. Unfortunately many of our rōpū have been unwell with COVID and/or busy supporting their communities. Now, we are back on board and sharing a short story full of our gratitude to Jodi who gifted his journey of recovery and stopping offending to this kaupapa. Recently, Dave presented the taonga back to Jodi. Today, we hear a little from Dave about this experience.

Dave shares his experience of this gifting process:

It was great to catch up with Jodi today to gift back his incredible story of resilience and recovery. Jodi had been working at the Haven Recovery Café for Odyssey in Auckland but is now based in Wairoa, where he is caring for his father and looking for ways to bring Peer Support approaches to the local community. He has a positive, solution focused attitude and is always looking to use his extensive lived experience to help others”

We are coming close to being able to share our final few whānau stories of journeys to whānau ora soon, watch this space! Next up, stories of hapori that support whānau in these amazing pathways of resilience and recovery.
