The co-design rōpū for He Ture Kia Tika is getting excited as we prepare to share our project findings.

Our report detailing action points to help whānau experiencing mental distress and addiction be better supported while in the justice system will be released on October 10th at heturekiatika.com.

After the launch, we will add posts with resources to understand the key action points from the research based on the voices of whānau and hapori who participated in the rangahau.

Over the next few weeks, we will share clips of our films featuring whānau sharing their stories of their journey to whānau ora. We hope this will excite everyone for the official release of the full films in late October.

Later in the year, we will release our exciting hapori stories and an e-book of whānau stories!

It is all go for the He Ture Kia Tika rōpū!

Our project will extend until 2024, with scheduled events aimed at ending discrimination against whānau facing mental distress and addiction. We also aim to gather support for community-based, trauma-informed actions that can better cater to the needs of whānau experiencing the criminal justice system.
